Building the world of Dendam is one of the most challenging and rewarding parts of this project. Our setting, Braga in Bandung, is known for its beautiful colonial architecture and vibrant streets. Reimagining it after a cataclysmic event is a delicate balance.

Using Unreal Engine 5, we’re leveraging technologies like Lumen for dynamic lighting and Nanite for high-detail environments. This allows us to create a world that feels both hauntingly empty and densely detailed.

The process starts with photogrammetry and extensive research of the real-world location. We then “break” the environment, adding overgrown vegetation, rubble, and remnants of the chaos that unfolded. Every asset is crafted to tell a story.

The goal is to make the environment more than just a backdrop; it’s a character in itself, full of secrets to uncover and dangers to navigate.
